Hide and Seek can be an amazing adventure for your children – add flashcards and you have a really fun way to learn.
To play this flashcard game, choose your treasure flashcards. They could be numbers, shapes, words, and even sentences. Have your pirates children go into the other room while you hide them. You could also enlist a First Mate helper to hide them for you.

Tell them when you are ready and let the mad scramble begin!
After they find them, have them each take a turn telling you what is on their flashcards.

Whoever finds and reads the most can take a turn hiding them. I like to reward my pirates children with Popsicle Sticks. However, the reward can be as simple as getting a turn to hide the flashcards.
Keep the game fresh and exciting by creating new scenarios.
Have fun!

Thanks for stopping by the blog! I love this idea and will be adding it to my ideas for Moriah when she gets a little older! I’m so excited to hear that you all are interested in adoption and look forward to hearing where the Lord leads you! Let me know if you ever have any questions!

This is such an interesting game for kids, my son plays games with flashcard too, but he play it on my phone with app by Superflashcard. He plays with their vocabulary flashcards, sometime I create special cards to teach him. He loves matching game spelling game.
So cute, I love this idea!I’d love for you to link this post up to Tot School Tuesday: http://seevanessacraft.com/2012/09/tot-school-tuesday-the-very-hungry-caterpillar/
Very cute
My daughter (2 years 9 months) is starting to get very interested in letters and what they mean/say/represent. This could be a fun way to explore it more with her.
This game is a regular in our house. My kids love searching for the cards all over. Right now we play with letter cards, shape cards, and color cards. We also play when we are starting a new unit study. I will hide cards with pictures related to the unit. Then when we have all of the cards we will make predictions about what we will learning about in that unit.
This idea makes flash card activity much more fun….who wants to just sit and read them off? Not my grandkids! Thanks for an idea I’ll be using very soon!
